Lab Links is a system that provides a homepage of bookmark tiles with pictures that are especially easy for young students to identify and click.  The system features the ability to detect the location (i.e. school, based on the IP address range) and the browser of the client.  These and other capabilities have solved some key problems and saved a great deal of time and frustration in Iron County School District.  Written in PHP, Lab Links (an in-house project at Iron District’s Technology Department) is now in transition from version one to version two.  Come see how the system works, the ways in which it has made things easier for teachers and techs in ICSD, what new features are being implemented in version two, and decide whether or not you’d like to try it out for yourself.
